The business intelligence layer of India’s creators economy
Why we exist
India has over 100 million creators. They power a multi-billion-dollar advertising, commerce, and entertainment market. They shape culture, language, fashion, finance, and politics. And yet, almost nobody is reporting on this industry the way it deserves to be reported.
Mainstream business press treats creators as a curiosity. Tech press treats them as a vertical. Marketing press treats them as a channel. None of them treat the creator economy as what it actually is: a serious commercial system with its own platforms, its own labour markets, its own pricing logic, its own capital flows, and its own structural problems.
We exist to change that. We report on platform economics, monetization mechanics, brand-creator capital, investment thesis, and the mechanics of an industry that needs serious intelligence — not press releases.
That's what we're building.
Why the name The Creators Index"?
An index is a record. A way of mapping a market — its players, its flows, its motion. Stock indices, price indices, commodity indices: all of them exist because some markets are too important to operate without instruments to measure them.
An index is also a benchmark. A reference point. A way of telling whether a market is rising or falling, expanding or contracting, healthy or in distress.
The creators economy in India is now too big, too fast, and too consequential to be left without one. The creators Index is our attempt to build that record — through reporting, data, and signal-rich analysis.
We are mapping the creators economy. Tracking its capital. Calling out its inflection points. Indexing what matters.
