Instagram is rolling out an AI assistant inside Edits that can read a creator’s Instagram performance data and answer questions about what worked, what did not, and what they could make next. The first rollout is for Edits users in the US.
The conversational tool combines account-level metrics with comments, Instagram trends and audience interests. Meta says the aim is to surface patterns that are difficult to spot from individual analytics screens, rather than give the same generic content advice to every creator.

Creators can ask the data a question
The assistant can use follows, views, video retention, likes and shares, then combine those signals with comments, platform trends and what an account’s audience appears interested in. A creator can ask why one Reel held attention better than another or which themes repeatedly generated stronger responses. The answer is based on that account’s own history rather than a general creator playbook.
It can move from diagnosis to the next idea
Edits Assistant can also suggest video ideas, hooks, captions, scripts and trending audio based on the account it is analysing. Instagram says creators asked for help with analysis rather than an AI system making the creative decisions for them, so the tool stops at recommendations and leaves the final edit to the creator.
Free use has a limit
The assistant is free to use, but Meta is placing a daily prompt limit on the free version. The company has said additional usage will later be available through Meta One, its paid subscription bundle. Meta has not announced an India rollout date for the assistant, so Indian creators should not read the launch as immediate availability here.
